Safaricom Women in Business
Millicent Maina.

I am the CEO Lymies Engineering Limited.

Lymies Engineering Limited is an Engineering Company providing End to End Power & Electrical Solution Services.

I had been in the Telecom Industry dealing with Safaricom and Airtel Passive Maintenance works and the experience gained in the Power Sector was part of what led me to venture into starting a company that provides Power Solution Services.

There was a huge gap in terms of standards of service delivery offered by other companies and having been in projects that had very high KPIs which I was able to meet, I felt I had what it takes to deliver the best services in the market and bridge that gap.

My key to success is Passion, Resilience and Persistence. Also, identifying the economic activity you are passionate about is just the beginning. You must refine it by acquiring as much knowledge and experience regarding it as possible. Engaging qualified teams who take personal interest in rendering professional services to clients is key in project execution.

I have learnt not to confine my business ambitions to my capabilities, rather to reach out and partner with local and global players to expand business ideas, scope and income streams.

My goal to empower and mentor women led organizations in to technical spaces and also to empower and nurture young women who have lesser opportunities in our society.
